Check the period is complete

Gather statements for every business bank account covering the accounting period. Include the opening and closing balances, and check there are no missing months or pages.

Make queries visible

Keep a list of transactions awaiting explanation or a receipt. An unresolved item should be clearly identified rather than assigned to an account based on a guess.

Agree the handover

Ask your accountant which reports and file formats they need. A transaction listing and trial balance can help, alongside invoices, receipts and details of any proposed adjustments.

General information only. Speak to your accountant about your own circumstances.

Talk to Tyche about your books

Tell us how many sets of books you keep and how often statements arrive, and we'll confirm what we can take on.
